Metabolic Tracking Phases
The local progress ring tracks fasting milestones dynamically based on elapsed time:
Your digestion wraps up, blood sugar stabilizes, and your insulin levels begin to drop.
Your body runs out of stored sugar reserves and flips the metabolic switch to burn stored fat for energy.
Your liver can increase ketone production as stored energy shifts. Effects vary, so the app presents this as an educational milestone rather than medical guidance.
Autophagy-related cleanup may become more active around longer fasts. NoBS Fasting keeps the wording cautious and focused on general fasting education.
After 24 hours, the timer moves into extended mode so longer milestones stay visible without implying guaranteed biological outcomes.
Growth hormone patterns can change during longer fasts. The app tracks the milestone only as a timing marker, not as a promise of a specific result.
This deeper fasting marker keeps extended sessions readable while avoiding claims that a fixed duration produces a fixed cellular outcome.
This is the final tracked milestone in NoBS Fasting. Your body may begin deeper immune-cell recycling, and the app does not track benefits past 48 hours.
Gamification & Streaks
Gamification is optional. When enabled, NoBS Fasting uses local-only stars, streaks, and streak freezes to make consistency visible without accounts, leaderboards, social sharing, or engagement tracking.
Stars are earned cumulatively as a fast reaches milestone durations. A fast can earn up to 8 stars: 1 star each at 4h, 12h, 18h, 24h, 30h, and 36h, plus 2 stars at 48h.
A day counts toward your streak when it is covered by a completed fast of at least 12 hours, an active fast that has already reached 12 hours, or a streak freeze. Multi-day fasts credit every local date they cover.
A streak freeze costs 20 stars and can protect one uncredited local day. It cannot be used while a fast is active or on a day already credited by a qualifying fast or another freeze.
Reaching a 7-day streak grants a 3-star bonus. Reaching a 30-day streak grants a 10-star bonus. Bonuses are awarded once per unbroken streak milestone, then reset only after the streak drops below that threshold.
Local App Behavior
The core fasting workflow works on-device without accounts, analytics, cloud sync, or a required network connection.
Completed credited fasts are saved locally newest first. Longer or cross-day sessions show start and end date/time, and duplicate-credit fasts are discarded instead of adding extra history or stars.
Language, theme, milestone marks, gamification, and notifications are device settings. They apply immediately and stay useful even when notifications or gamification are disabled.
Optional local notifications can alert at 4h, 12h, 18h, 24h, 30h, 36h, and 48h while a fast is active. Daily start reminders use a local rolling average of recent start times.

This Privacy Policy governs the data privacy practices of the NoBS Fasting mobile application developed and published by NoBS Apps for supported mobile platforms.
1. Data Collection & Transmission Statement
NoBS Fasting operates under a strict Zero-Telemetry, local-first architecture. The application does not collect, capture, monitor, intercept, or transmit any personal, sensitive, or device-identifiable information to external cloud servers, databases, or third parties.
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, crash reporting tracking modules, account systems, cloud sync, or identity management tools. No network request is needed for the active timer, history, settings, reminders, gamification, or phase explanations.
2. Local Storage Sandbox
Active fast state, completed sessions, streak freezes, star balance, streak bonus markers, language, theme, notification settings, milestone display settings, gamification settings, and processed support-purchase tokens are stored exclusively inside the app's private local storage area on your device, using the standard persistence technology for the platform. Your data remains under your personal custody and control at all times.
3. Device Permissions Usage
- Local System Alarms / Notifications: Where supported and enabled by the user, the app uses local system notification APIs solely to post fasting milestone alerts at 4h, 12h, 18h, 24h, 30h, 36h, and 48h while a fast is active, plus daily start reminders based on your recent local start times. Turning notifications off cancels scheduled milestone alerts and smart reminders. No tracking analytics are embedded within these notifications.
4. Optional Store Support Purchases
Some platform builds may offer optional native store purchases as symbolic support. These purchases do not unlock features or content. When a completed purchase is reported by the platform store, the app may record the processed purchase token locally to prevent duplicate thank-you star grants.
5. Children's Privacy
Because NoBS Fasting does not collect, capture, or transmit any digital information from any user device whatsoever, it is designed to avoid collecting children's personal information.
